ARCH1101 - Task 1

Image A: Year 12 Major Design & Technology Project: "EcoLution" -

The image above presents a concept and design of a rotating house inspired by Luke Everingham to maximise the incorporation of energy efficient features. The general concept of the house is to allow the solar panels to obtain 100% exposure to the sun as the house follows the suns natural path as it rotates about a central shaft. While natural exterior air flow is cooled as it passes between a shallow pool of water beneath the house and the first floor. Finally air and natural light is channelled through four large openings within the third floor via the innovative sky gardens design upon the second floor.

Great Architecture: La Fortaleza Mallorea, Spain -

Upon the island of Mallorea rests La Fortaleza, originally constructed in 1628 to protect the island from pirates, is a fortress obtaining seven residences and two swimming pools. Such is considered great due to not only the traditional Mediterranean design but further more the surrounding landscape design. The various retaining walls and related stepping nature of the peninsula frame the rather simple individual buildings within the landscape to present an overall persona of style.

Original Photography -
Taken 23/03/2008, is a photography capturing the joy of a couple just married moments ago as they depart in a Rolls Royce. The bride acknowledged ones presence by raising her bouquet in the air, representing tremendous happiness within the moment. The blurred nature of the photography due to motion captures the beauty within the expression of love.
